I. General
A. There is a 30 Day Grace
Period at the beginning of each semester at which time you
may drop the bus service for a pro-rated fee based on the
number of days you used the service. After the 30
Day Grace Period you will be obligated for the remainder
of that semester. A family only receives One Grace
Period Per Annum. To drop the bus service please contact
the transportation office and follow up that contact with
written acknowledgement of you desire to drop the service.
B. Parents
will be given the time which the bus is expected to arrive.
Children should be at the appointed place at least five
minutes before the scheduled arrival time.
C. Maximum
riding time will be 1 hour and 15 minutes. In may
become necessary for certain families to waive this in order
to be provided with service.
II. Pick-Up / Drop-Off Points
A. Parents
must park at the pick-up / drop-off point so that the normal
traffic flow is not impeded. Park on the door side
of the bus so that children do not have to walk in front
or behind the bus.
B. Parents
must remain with their children
until the bus arrives for pick-up and must be at the drop-off
point in the afternoon when the bus arrives. At
no time should your children be left unattended.
C. Episcopal
and the owners of the pick-up / drop-off points are not
responsible for the conduct or safety of the children at
the pick-up / drop-off points. Hold Harmless Statements
must be signed by parents and returned to Episcopal prior
to their children riding the bus.
D. Bus driver
are not allowed to wait at the
pick-up / drop-off point until parents arrive. Parents
should make contingency plans to have another adult meet
their children if they are unable to come to the drop-off
point in the afternoon.
E. Parents
are not to make arrangements with employees of commercial
establishments where points are located to supervise of
baby-sit their children. This would imperil the continued
use of the pick-up / drop-off point for all children and
therefore the school could terminate the service of anyone
breaking this rule.
F. Parents
are asked to allow the bus to depart from the
pick-up / drop-off point before they leave.
This allows the bus to reduce it's time on the route and
provide shorter rides for other students.
G. Bus drivers
are not authorized to make special
arrangements with individual riders. Please direct
all such request through the transportation office.
III. Rules for Bus Riders (This information is
