Rules and Regulations
I. General

    A.  There is a 30 Day Grace Period at the beginning of each semester at which time you may drop the bus service for a pro-rated fee based on the number of days you used the service.  After the 30 Day Grace Period you will be obligated for the remainder of that semester.  A family only receives One Grace Period Per Annum. To drop the bus service please contact the transportation office and follow up that contact with written acknowledgement of you desire to drop the service.

    B.    Parents will be given the time which the bus is expected to arrive.  Children should be at the appointed place at least five minutes before the scheduled arrival time.

    C.    Maximum riding time will be 1 hour and 15 minutes.  In may become necessary for certain families to waive this in order to be provided with service.

II. Pick-Up / Drop-Off Points

    A.    Parents must park at the pick-up / drop-off point so that the normal traffic flow is not impeded.  Park on the door side of the bus so that children do not have to walk in front or behind the bus.

    B.    Parents must remain with their children until the bus arrives for pick-up and must be at the drop-off point in the afternoon when the bus arrives.  At no time should your children be left unattended.

    C.    Episcopal and the owners of the pick-up / drop-off points are not responsible for the conduct or safety of the children at the pick-up / drop-off points.  Hold Harmless Statements must be signed by parents and returned to Episcopal prior to their children riding the bus.

    D.    Bus driver are not allowed to wait at the pick-up / drop-off point until parents arrive.  Parents should make contingency plans to have another adult meet their children if they are unable to come to the drop-off point  in the afternoon.

    E.    Parents are not to make arrangements with employees of commercial establishments where points are located to supervise of baby-sit their children.  This would imperil the continued use of the pick-up / drop-off point for all children and therefore the school could terminate the service of anyone breaking this rule.

    F.    Parents are asked to allow the bus to depart from the pick-up / drop-off point before they leave.  This allows the bus to reduce it's time on the route and provide shorter rides for other students.

    G.    Bus drivers are not authorized to make special arrangements with individual riders.  Please direct all such request through the transportation office.
