TCEA is a technology conference for K-12 educators, administrators, and tech coordinators. Diana Burns Digital Camera Workshop: Photography Basics and Building Web Projects - Heather Chirtea "This session demonstrated how to use the program Multimedia Lab V, a program similar to Power Point or Hyperstudio. This program allows you to create digital portfolios and projects and put them on the web. There were many really great features." Christy Talbot Digital Portfolios: Cheap, Easy, and For Everyone - Dennis R. McEntire "This session demonstrated how to use project-based learning to create and organize digital portfolios with minimum equipment, minimal budget, and maximum student involvement." Christy Talbot Einstruction - "It was a hands-on presentation of the Einstruction software system which incorporates data driven instruction (such as tests, quizzes, etc…) into the classroom environment while focusing on achievement standards." Renee Crousillac, Diana Burns Elementary Keyboarding: A Springboard to Technology Productivity - Christine Bonilla "The presenter created a developmentally appropriate keyboarding program at the elementary level that had a scope and sequence for keyboarding and technology." Diana Burns Exciting Technology Projects - Ginger Jones and Carole Wilson "Speakers went through the basics of why and how you can create exciting tech projects. They use all sorts of equipment and software. They gave an example of a Power Point that goes through design basics of a media presentation that would be very helpful for us to use at the beginning of the year." Joanna Lemoine Get Them Thinking! Using Technology in Pre-Reading Activities - Christina Bonilla and Lana Pratt "This was an excellent presentation. It gave simple, easy to use games using Power Point. It is an exciting, powerful way to initiate pre-reading activities!" Renee Crousillac Home Run Technology - Natalie Lincoln "This was a great session with easy to use ideas and web sites. She was humorous and went through each tool before showing us how to put it all in a slide show. I would recommend this session." Renee Crousillac Learning is a Dream When You Videostream - Gay Grissom "Combining Video Streaming with Power Point can enhance students’ learning opportunities (especially for visual learners). This teacher created student led Power Point presentations that had short video clips related to a topic." Then they showed how they developed an integrated technology lab curriculum" Joanna Lemoine, Christy Talbot The Inside Scoop on Digital Photography - Dr. Arnie Abrams "The presenter shared some of the most useful tips and tricks for using digital cameras in the classroom.This session would be useful to faculty in charge of purchasing digital cameras." Renee Crousillac Using Adobe Acrobat as an Assessment Tool - Renee Fairchild, Debbie Crozier "Using the fill able form found in Adobe Acrobat, teachers can integrate technology into all curriculum areas by creating worksheets, quizzes, or tests." Diana Burns X Marks the Spot: Finding Treasures on the Web - Mildred Wheeler, Michelle Nash, Judy Peterson "This session taught how to create web hunts (mini web quests) on specific topics for all age groups.
