Episcopal middle school students present ‘Sleeping Beauty and the Beast’

Wednesday, January 31, 2007

Episcopal’s middle school students will present “Sleeping Beauty and the Beast,” by Wade Bradford, at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 and 9 and 2 p.m. Feb. 10 in the Visual and Performing Arts Center Main Stage Theatre at Episcopal, 3200 Woodland Ridge Blvd.

The comedy follows the valiant quest of the bumbling, but good-hearted Prince Charmless as he attempts to save Princess Rose, the King and Queen and the rest of the kingdom from the Wicked Faerie and her sleep-induced curse. During his quest, Prince Charmless meets Puss ‘N’ Boots, a snarling Snow White, the helpful Headless Horseman and a lonely Beast.

The play is directed by Dawn Perret.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the door or in advance at the Episcopal Student Store, (225) 753-3180, ext. 1163.
