Episcopal teacher Renee
Chatelain’s Mid-City Dance Company
was selected to represent Louisiana in the Wall of America art
project. Artist Ellen Griesedieck is incorporating the footprints
of children from the Mid-City Dance Company into her 120-foot,
five-story painting, which will incorporate a project from all
50 states.
The completed Wall of America will be displayed in Winsted,
Conn.
Ms. Chatelain, a social studies and dance teacher at Episcopal,
co-founded the Mid-City Dance Company to give inner-city
youth an opportunity to participate in dance.
