Seven Episcopal coaches were honored during the 2004-2005 seasons.
Powerlifting coach Steve Baronich was inducted into the Louisiana
High School Powerlifting Association Hall of Fame and completed
his 25th year as a coach.
Boys basketball coach Chris Beckman was named the District 8-2A
Coach of the Year.
Baseball coach Chris Counts served as the head coach of the East
All Star team. He also was named Coach of the Year by the American
Baseball Coaches Association for Division III, Region 6.
Claney Duplechin was named East Baton Rouge Parish Coach of the
Year for boys cross country. Butch Helveston was named Parish
Coach of the Year for girls track and girls cross country.
In volleyball, Beverly Russell was named Coach of the Year in Division
IV, District 4.
Andrew Wyly was named Metro Coach of the Year for classes
3A
and below for boys golf.
