Episcopal’s pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade students and teachers raised $904.75 to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s “Walk to Cure Diabetes.”

The following Lower School teachers and family members participated in the Baton Rouge 5K walk on Nov. 6: Bridget and Kenneth Berrigan, Susie Chew, Pam and Caitlin Craig, Jenny Hastings, Heather Harpole, Sonny James, Rita Kemp, Georgina and Juliette Lemoine, Joanna and Ava Lemoine, Amy, Mike and Ellie Shoemaker, Donna Willis and Jacklyn, Ted, Jackson and Sophie White.

The “Walk to Cure Diabetes” funds diabetes research. According to the JDRF, diabetes affects 150 million people worldwide.
