Student and Parent Buses Planned for the Knights' First Semi-Final
Football Appearance Against Iota High School
Parent and student buses have been planned for the trip to Iota on
Friday. The parent buses are being handled by Stephen Shirley who
should be contacted directly at 766-6122 (home) or 926-3900 (office)
or 926-3901 (fax). There will be buses for each of the grades 6-12
as well as a spirit bus and two faculty buses. The student buses
will hold approximately 50 students and they will be handled on a
first-come, first-served basis. The cost to the students will be
$20. This will include the cost of the bus, a jambalaya supper which
will be served at 5:00 p.m. at the Iota Junior High School, a T-shirt,
and admission to the game. The Parents' Guild have arranged chaperones
for the Middle School buses and faculty members will chaperone the
High School buses. The cost for this trip will be billed to parents'
accounts. In the Middle School, we need a parent permission form
to be signed and this will indicate the students' interest in traveling.
In the High School, students will sign up for the bus themselves.
The buses will leave campus at 3:00 p.m. and we expect to return
to campus somewhere between 11:00 and 11:30 p.m. The buses carrying
the Middle School students will drop the students in the carpool
circle and the buses carrying the High School students will return
to the back parking lot. All Episcopal fans, whether they travel
by bus or not, are invited to the free jambalaya supper at the Iota
Junior High School at 5:00 p.m.
This is the first time that Episcopal has participated in
a semi-final football playoff game and excitement is high on the
campus.
