Welcome to Mrs.
Kantrow's Algebra I
Eighth Grade
Course Description:
This full-year course lays the foundation for all future work
in mathematics, science, and real world problem solving. The
course is designed to introduce algebra from both a traditional
and graphics-based approach. Topics include solving and graphing
linear and nonlinear equations and inequalities, solving and
graphing systems of linear equations and inequalities, factoring
polynomials, and simplifying polynomial, rational, and radical
expressions. A graphing calculator is required. Credit for this
course counts toward the 23 units needed for high school graduation.
