The focus of eighth grade World History is the development
of culture and civilizations from pre-history through 1500.
We will visit civilizations on the continents of Asia, Africa,
Europe and North and South America. Our study of history will
include social studies skills, geography skills, and our literacy
and technology skills.
The mission of this class to to help students become
life-long learners by challenging them to apply their historical
knowledge to the world around them. This can be accomplished
in a supportive learning environment where students are allowed
to take ownership of the learning process.
Remember the Episcopal
Code. It is at the heart of our life at Episcopal.
Please
read the Social Studies Department's Mission and vision Statements.
