Chris Counts
Head Coach
Coach Counts begins his 13th season as the Head Coach of
the Knights and his 16th year at the school.
Coach Counts is the winningest baseball coach in Episcopal
History and the 2004 Knights claimed their first ever State Championship.
Under Coach Counts, the Knights have tied or broken over 25 team
records and numerous individual records. Episcopal has made the
playoffs 16 consecutive year, 13
times under
Coach Counts, winning the District Championship outright
in 1998, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2007. He was named district Coach
of the Year in 1998, 2002-2004 and 2007, and named State Coach
of the Year in
2004. Coach Counts was named ABCA Region 6 Coach of
the Year in 2005.
Coach Counts was an infielder
for King College('91) in Bristol, Tennessee, before coming to
LSU as a graduate assistant, where he received his Master's Degree
in Kinesiology.
